Top of the Stove Porcupine Balls

1/4 cup Tomato soup (undiluted)
1/4 cup raw rice
1/4 cup minced onions
1 teasp salt
1 lb hambuger
1 egg
2 teasp minced parsley
1 cup water

  1. Mix the first 7 ingredients.
  2. Shape in balls.
  3. Brown quickly in a bit of shortening.
  4. Add remainder of the can of soup and 1 cup of water.
  5. Cover and simmer for about 40 minutes.
Note: My mother added carrots and celery to the sauce before cooking.
