Peanut Butter Brittle

2  cups sugar
1  cup white syrup
2  cups raw Spanish peanuts
2  Tablespoons butter
2  teaspoons baking soda
1  teaspoons vanilla

Bring 1/2 cup of water to boil and add sugar and syrup. Stir until dissolved and boil until it spins a thread (230°F). Add raw peanuts and cook slowly to a golden brown or 300°F.

Remove from stove and add butter, baking soda and vanilla. Stir quickly and put on 2 buttered cookie sheets. Cool and break up.
