Peanut Butter Cookies

1  cup shortening
3/4 to 1  cup peanut butter
1  cup sugar (Splenda® Granular can be substituted)
1  cup brown sugar firmly packed (Splenda® Brown
           Sugar Blend can be substituted, use 1/2 cup)
2  eggs
1/4  cup milk
3  cups flour
1  teaspoon baking powder
1  teaspoon salt

Cream together shortening and peanut butter. Add the sugar, brown sugar, eggs and milk. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together and add to mixture. Roll into balls the size of walnuts, press with the tines of a fork and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
