Rector Marie Wescott, Nov 19,1917 - Oct 28, 1997. Born in Farmington, MN, Marie Rector was graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Business Administration. She married Irwin Rector in 1941. While raising a family she was active in school and community groups in Mpls, Fargo, Washington, DC and Detroit. Marie was President of the Mound, MN School District PTA for 2 years, a member of the Bloomfield Hills Village Women's Club and the AAUW and President of the International Association at Cranbrook Academy. After living in greater London for 3 years, the Rectors returned to the U.S. in 1976. While residing in both Michigan and Arizona, Marie continued to be active in community activities and served on several corporate boards. In 1978 she and her husband settled permanently in Carefree. There she was a member of the Desert Forest and Desert Mountain Golf Clubs, the Arizona Club, the Foothills Women's Club and the Carefree Ladies Investment Club. Marie was a past president of the Foothills Community Foundation and a director of the Desert Foothills Land Trust. She gave generously of her time and financial support to both community and civic organizations. She was the wife of the late Irwin Riis Rector and daughter of the late Wells & Ora Amelia (Anderson) Wescott. She is survived by a brother, Wells ``Bugs'' Wescott; a daughter, Nicki Rector Makowski; sons, Fredric Wescott, John Irwin and James Sheldon Rector; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 5 pm Nov. 19 at Good Shepherd of the Hills Church, Cave Creek, AZ. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Desert Foothills Land Trust, 7518 East Elbow Bend Road, Carefree, AZ 85377.

Breen Flora E., age 86 of Burnsville, formerly of Farmington. Survived by daughter, Kathleen & husband Steven Damberg of Burnsville; sons, Dennis & wife Cindy of Montevideo, Michael & wife Linda of Nevada; 5 grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Farmington. Visitation Thursday 6-8 PM, White Funeral Home, 901 3rd St, and also 1 hour prior to Mass at funeral home.
