Russian Tea Wafers

1  cup butter
1/2  cup powdered sugar
2 1/4  cups flour
1  teaspoon vanilla
1/4  teaspoon salt
3/4  cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans

Cream together butter and powdered sugar.  Mix together rest of ingredients.  Chill several hours.

Bake 400°F for 10 – 12 minutes.

Roll into 1 inch balls; dip in powdered sugar when warm and again when cold.
